Cricket's New Bed

So Cricket seems to think that we bought him a new bed. Everytime I wake up in the middle of the night, I have to kick him out of the bouncer. I'm not sure how to keep him out of it. Right now he can't get in it because it's just a frame. I took all of the fabric part off to be washed. So what should I do to keep him out of it, or should I just put a towel in it so he doesn't get it hairy?

Bed Rest

So they released me from the hospital. Most of the time my blood pressure was good. It did shoot up a couple of times though even when I was just laying there. One time when I sat up to eat, it was so high that it sounded an alarm. That was kinda scary. It was 155/100, but it went back down. She still doesn't think it is preeclampsia though because my blood pressure does go down, I have protein in my urine anyway from the blood being there from the stent, my blood work is normal, and I don't have any of the other symptoms like swelling, abdominal pain, or bad headache that won't go away. So, for now she has me on modified bed rest until my next appointment which is Monday, and she wants to see me twice a week to keep an eye on it.

This whole bed rest thing is starting to get to me. It just has me depressed because I should be nesting and going on last non-parent dates with hubby and being excited in general, but i'm having a hard time being happy. I've already been limited in what I could do for the past two months because of the stent. Now I can't do anything. It takes a toll on the emotions, but hopefully, I'll be dialated enough Monday that the doctor will want to go ahead and induce.

Also, the bladder pain is getting worse and not even laying down helps anymore, which might mean she has dropped. I hope that's the case because I'm ready for this to over.

Katelyn's Room

We have just about everything in place for her room.

I started on her mural. Her walls are pretty bare. This is going over her crib. It's taking me a while because I can only do a little at a time.

When I get finished, I'll have to take some pics with a real camera and upload them.

36 weeks

A lot has happened since my last post. My pain has gotten worse as Katelyn gets heavier. We did decide that we are going to induce on June 24th unless she decides to come sooner.

Last week we had a little scare. The doctor thought I might have preeclampsia. My blood pressure was high and there was protein in my urine. Those are the two main symptoms. She sent me to the hospital to get my blood pressure monitored and bloodwork done to decide if we needed to go ahead and deliver via c-section. My blood pressure went down and they said that the protein was from the blood in my urine because of the stent. She sent me home and said to try and lay down when I'm not working.

Today was my weekly checkup. I'm barely dialated. Not even 1cm yet. My blood pressure is up again. She sent me back to the hospital to monitor me for 12 hours. And then they will decide again if I need to go ahead and deliver. So far my pressure has been good. It seems like when I lay down my pressure goes down, but as soon as I stand up even to just go to the bathroom, my pressure goes way up. I have a feeling that if I don't deliver, I will be on bed rest.

Wish us luck. She needs to stay put for another week or two.
