Dog Free Zone

With Katelyn being so mobile now and with Nibbler so eager to play, we some times need a break from the dogs, so we created a playroom for Katelyn. We sold our dining room table and fenced off the dinning room. Now we have a place that is hair and slobber free (well dog slobber free; it has plenty of Katelyn slobber) to play!

Empty dinning room. Just sold the table.

Gave it a good vacuuming and shampooing

Here's the gate. I'll have to get more pictures now that it is complete.

More To Come

I have an Easter post too, but I can't find my USB cord for my real camera (not a phone LOL), and I'm pretty sure Billy wouldn't be too happy if I woke him up at 3:00 in the morning to ask him where it might be haha. I guess that post will have to wait. Hopefully, I will have time to do that in non-sleeping hours. :)

Having Fun and Nana and Pawpaw's House

Katelyn had to show off her new cruising skills :)

Well I guess I didn't get pictures of her cruising. Maybe her Daddy will publish the photos he took... hint hint. :)

My First Mother's Day

What an awesome gift it is to be a Mother. I love it! I just can't get enough of my little stinker. I had a great Mother's Day. Billy and Katelyn got me a pretty awesome gift. Now I can go pamper my self at the spa. We also spent Mother's Day at Nana and Pawpaw's house. We had a great time hanging out, but we could only stay the day, so we decided to go next weekend too :) This time we are going to stay a little while and fit in some fishing :)

Reaching Milestones

So, the last thing I posted about was Katelyn crawling.... (Maybe that's why I haven't been able to blog). Sometime not long after that she started pulling up. Don't have the date because I'm horrible. :( I have pictures of her pulling up on March 24th, so it must not have been long before that.

I did it!

Not that this is a milestone, but it does tie into the next one. April 14th Katelyn got tubes placed in both ears. She had a lot of back to back ear infections, so it was time.

Yay! I'm getting tubes!.... Wasn't as thrilled in recovery :(

That night she slept through the night, and I could tell she was already feeling better. The next night, she kept waking up screaming and grabbing her ear. She didn't even grab her ears when she had ear infections, so this worried me. I thought maybe by some rare chance they did something wrong and hurt her ears. I called her ENT doctor. He said very confidently that she is teething. So, we peeked in her mouth and sure enough there THEY were. Her first two teeth popping up. We had been checking her mouth pretty regularly just because she was nearly 10 months old with no teeth, so we were surprised to see them just appear the day after she did turn 10 months old.

April 20th, Katelyn gained enough confidence to let go and stand on her own :)
No Hands!

She had a lot of fun with her new trick and was practicing all day. Now she's zooming around pushing either her baby stroller or her other push toy. Here's the day I bought her her first push toy, the baby stroller.

She has also recently started pointing her finger and just "talking" up a storm.

She has taken a couple of steps on her own, but nothing I've caught on camera. It's literally only been like 2 steps, but she will be walking soon. She just might be running around at her first birthday party which is only a month away! OMG where did the time go! We have enjoyed every second, well almost every second haha.

Sorry For The Lack Of Updates

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been pretty busy. I guess I'm lucky tonight. My Z-Pack has, umm, "blessed" me with insomnia. I thought about cleaning, but then I was like if I'm going to loose sleep, it won't be to cleaning. I'd rather do something I want to do LOL. So anyway.... let the blogging begin. :)
