So, the last thing I posted about was Katelyn crawling.... (Maybe that's why I haven't been able to blog). Sometime not long after that she started pulling up. Don't have the date because I'm horrible. :( I have pictures of her pulling up on March 24th, so it must not have been long before that.
I did it!
Not that this is a milestone, but it does tie into the next one. April 14th Katelyn got tubes placed in both ears. She had a lot of back to back ear infections, so it was time.
Yay! I'm getting tubes!.... Wasn't as thrilled in recovery :(
That night she slept through the night, and I could tell she was already feeling better. The next night, she kept waking up screaming and grabbing her ear. She didn't even grab her ears when she had ear infections, so this worried me. I thought maybe by some rare chance they did something wrong and hurt her ears. I called her ENT doctor. He said very confidently that she is teething. So, we peeked in her mouth and sure enough there THEY were. Her first two teeth popping up. We had been checking her mouth pretty regularly just because she was nearly 10 months old with no teeth, so we were surprised to see them just appear the day after she did turn 10 months old.
April 20th, Katelyn gained enough confidence to let go and stand on her own :)
No Hands!
She had a lot of fun with her new trick and was practicing all day. Now she's zooming around pushing either her baby stroller or her other push toy. Here's the day I bought her her first push toy, the baby stroller.
She has also recently started pointing her finger and just "talking" up a storm.
