Keeping Busy

I'm always looking for ways to fight boredom. Katelyn easily gets bored. I got brave one day and broke out the crayons. She had fun, but Nibbler really wanted to eat the crayons. These were taken in August.

She also likes when Daddy swings her around like a monkey.

Playing the drums with Daddy is alway a great way to pass the time.

Bubbles!

Wow! I haven't updated in FOREVER! Sorry about that. I guess I have a lot to update you on...

Katelyn is such an outdoor girl. She always wants to go out. The other day she even took me to her room and opened her dresser drawer and reached for her socks. She knows she has to have her socks and shoes on to go outside, so she is always wanting to put them on.

One on the things she got for her birthday was a bubble machine. She loves bubbles. These were taken a couple of months ago probably.

Katelyn Turns One!

Oh my goodness! I can not believe this girl is one now. I don't know where the time went, yet at the same time, it's hard to remember life before her. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter. She is just perfect!

Her actual birthday, June 15, was pretty uneventful at home, but she celebrated at daycare.

She must have known it was her birthday, because she was all smiles...

The sign on the door at daycare that her sitter made her...

Balloons!

They even had little miniature cupcakes during lunch.

I did give her a little happy when she got home. It's a purse, and once I showed her how to carry it, she loved it! She carried it everywhere...

Even to chase the cat.

and petting the doggie...

That Saturday we had her birthday party. Just about everyone showed up. We had a great time.

That girl LOVES her Pawpaw!

Her cousin, Tiffini...

Her sitter, Lea Anne...

Thank goodness Steve and Monica took lots of picture and sent them to us! Here is the party from their perspective...

I got a little emotional singing the birthday song. My voice cracked after the firs couple of word, and then I had to stop.

She really racked up on the presents...

Look, Pawpaw, I have a Pillow Pet!

Then, Sunday, we had Father's Day lunch and Monica's parent's.
